Cooper's Portrait Session at 4 months!

Honestly, this little man is so super happy and smiley but I guess that is only to be expected - his Mum is just as happy as he is. Cooper giggles all the time and has the most infectious big grin, you just can't help but feel good when he comes to play. His Mum wanted to capture this little guy over his first months and is coming to see us at 4 and 8 months, Santa's Workshop at about 11 months and Granddad's Garage when he will be all grown up and about 16 months old.

He came in for his 4 month portraits, well about 4 months ago because he was in again just a couple of weeks ago to have his 8 month old portrait session - time just flies and watching our babies grow sure does make you realise just how quickly it goes.

Isn't that the brightest big smile and gorgeous little face?

Cooper is such a bundle of fun and we adore seeing him and his Mum, they have really become such a part of our little family here!

Children's Portrait Session - Grace and Matthew.

Children's Portrait Sessions are always exciting and great fun. Two different ages, two different personalities just double up the amount of interesting things you can get up to with the kids.

Grace and Matthew came in a few weeks back, Matthew had portraits done at about the age Grace is now and her Mum wanted something special with the two kids and particularly of gorgeous little Grace. Matthew was on fire - a typical little boy that wanted to be involved in everything and he showed off his personality perfectly. Grace being a perfect little lady is by nature a little more reserved and looks just like a porcelain doll.

Both kids have the most incredible eyes (courtesy of their Mum) and I adore a serious portrait as it shows off their big, beautiful eyes so well.

Isn't Grace just adorable? And you just have to love the "birds" - kids somehow manage to do that to me on a regular basis and it always makes me giggle.

Thank you for bringing your kids in Rebecca - they are simply gorgeous and a heap of fun. I loved working with you, Grace and Matthew!

A Very Special First Birthday Portrait for Eva!

All babies are special and a first birthday portrait is a very popular way to celebrate this major milestone in their new lives. This baby girl, Eva, and her Mum and Dad have a very special story - one of hope, determination and absolute joy.

Little Eva was given only a 1% chance of survival when her Mum's water broke very early on at only 16 weeks. Her chances were slim and her Mum was at risk too, infection for both of them was a very real possibility. Her Mum and Dad (Cristy and Jasper) had to have conversations that no parent should ever have to live through. There were questions asked and decisions, really tough, unimaginable decisions that had to be made. I can't begin to imagine the pain, heartache and fear that these first time parents must have gone through.

Throughout everything, in utero, little Eva's heart was beating so strong - every visit to the specialist showed that this baby girl was growing, even with all the odds stacked against her. Her Mum and Dad knew that it would be long, tough road but that tiny heartbeat, so strong and determined, made their decision for them. If she was prepared to fight, then so were they.

Eva's mum Cristy told me that when this all happened at just 16 weeks gestation, she did what we all do and looked on the internet to read about other people's experience in a similar situation. Out of all the stories she found, only one of them had a positive outcome...all Cristy could do was worry and wait. She stopped reading and focused on that little heartbeat within. For another 12 weeks, Cristy and Jasper willed their little girl to stay where she was, to stay safe and to continue fighting. Her strong little heartbeat never faltered.

At just 28 weeks on the 1st March 2012, little baby Eva arrived into the world and for all the challenges she had faced she weighed in at 1.4kg  (3lb 1 oz) which although still tiny was an amazing result. Eva had a two month stay in the NICU and was allowed to go home with her family on the 6th May 2012.

If ever there was a tiny miracle and a story that just had to be told, Cristy, Jasper and Eva is it. A gorgeous family given very little chance of seeing their baby girl, that managed to overcome so many challenges...

When this gorgeous little girl came in for a portrait session to celebrate her first birthday, I knew we were in for something very special - she is adorable! She had the best fun, she was happy and smiley and was a complete natural in front of the camera. Her mum bought the top layer of her Birthday Cake in and teamed the most adorable little matching dress with it - all pink with white polka dots and Minnie Mouse ears to top it off. Eva did a fantastic job of demolishing her cake and celebrating in true style!

Thank you Cristy and Jasper for sharing your darling little girl with me. Your story touched my heart. I hope that in future if someone is going through a similar situation, when they get on the internet to read about other people's experiences, they will find your story and know that there is hope. You are both amazing and your little girl is an absolute delight.

Our Enchanted Garden Fairy Portrait Sessions will be held on Saturday 27th August 2011!

Part of our Heirloom Collection, the Enchanted Garden Fairy Day is sure to be loved by your little girls...and I think, most of us big girls too!

The stage is set and looks fantastic, from our pretty, fluffy fairy dresses, flower garlands for their hair, our sparkly crystal ball right down to the magic mushroom and reflection pond - your little fairy princess will adore this magic experience. Childrens Portrait Session at Penrith

These two are the most beautiful children! Taylah is 5 and Riley is 2 and we had ourselves some super fun yesterday morning. Fortunately the rain stayed away and we were able to look for lady bugs, play with the balls, blow bubbles and throw rocks in the river. They were both so full of energy and excitement! Pleas meet the gorgeous Taylah and absolutely adorable Riley!

Baby's First Year Photo Session - Congratulations Jack! Our very first graduate!

FUN??? FUN??? Oh Yes! This was FUN!

This year has gone so very fast! He was 6 weeks premmie and I photographed his first session when he was a tiny, wee, little 3 week old baby boy. How little is he?

From his very first time here, Jack was perfect. At 3 months old he was still tiny but was growing fast and had the most amazing eyes.

His next photo session was at 7 months and hadn't he grown up! What a little man.

And now, here he is at one year old, still smiling and laughing and his gorgeous eyes just get

better and better! Because he is our very first graduate from Baby's First Year Club, we decided to celebrate with a cake.

I am so proud to have been able to photograph this amazing little dude over the past year. He has been a gem from the very first day and I simply adore him. He and his mum Amy will be back in soon to be presented with their Baby's First Year Wall Panel and his Graduation Diploma.

Now I did say I had the most beautiful baby girls for photo sessions last month and I meant every word. Leah is just 4 months old and came in with her Mum and Dad, Lauren and John. Nepean High School Spring Fair.

Here in Penrith some days, the sky is just impossibly blue, the clouds white and fluffy and with just the faintest whisper of a breeze, you just want to breathe it all in...our day at the Nepean High School Spring Fair was just one of those days - perfect!

We had a competition (as always) and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with the people that dropped by the stall. I also had one of the best cupcakes ever! I love getting out and about, meeting new people and I have a couple more Spring Fairs and Markets coming up this month as well. Lucky I am good at having a chat. Hope to see you at the next one!
